Print is not going anywhere, but how things are printed definitely is!
Video Transcript:
Kevin: Hi I’m Kevin Wilcox, and I’m the president and owner of Arkansas Graphics. I’ve been at Arkansas Graphics since 1990 and I’ve been the owner for 3 years.
Kevin: I think what makes Arkansas Graphics stand out in the industry is our people and the relationships we have with our clients. I think that will be the key in the future as well. I think the biggest challenge in the industry moving forward is just the pace of change with technology these days.
Kevin: Print is not going anywhere but how things are printed definitely is. We also have to redefine what print is these days. It’s not just ink on paper. We are able to print on so many things that were not able to just a few years ago. Cars that you might see driving down the street, those are printed. We can print fabric for furniture and clothing now. We can do all sort of things we couldn’t do years ago.
Kevin: Arkansas Graphics and our team are embracing these changes. Just this past year we started 2 new projects we felt like needed to be up and running as soon as possible. The team did a great job of putting all of that together and they have both really paid off for us.
Joseph: My name is Joseph and I am a digital projects specialist here at Arkansas Graphics. I am excited about all of the online technology that we are getting that really helps you customize a product exactly the way you want it. We are used to that when we are making something ourselves on our home computer but it is really something that is going to help revolutionize the print industry as a whole. Being able to create a product exactly how you want and getting that mass produced with quality materials and shipped out to wherever you want. That’s really going to be something that changes the game here at Arkansas Graphics.
Kevin: The thing I love about the industry are all of the young people that are coming in who are still embracing the industry, who love the industry and who get excited by it.
Hannah: I’m Hannah McDonald and I am the promotional products specialist at Arkansas Graphics since 2013. The thing I look forward to the most in print coming up, is how Kevin stays on trend with the newest thing and decides if that’s going to be good for our market. For example we got the new laser motion cutter and that has been really exciting that our customers love. It is something that makes us unique from other print companies in Arkansas.
Hannah: In the next 10 to 15 years, I see Arkansas graphics just excelling. We have grown so much over the past few years that we are busting at the seams. I can’t see us doing anything but growing and getting better.
Hannah: Arkansas Graphics prepares me for the future by sending me to conferences every year. Every February I go and see what the latest trends are, whats new and coming out, so that I can come back and show the customers to help keep them relevant as well. I also attend classes and focus groups to see what people out in the market like to receive so that I can pass that on to the customers as well.
Kevin: The fun thing with the new technology and the young people is that print is more innovative than it has ever been before. We are able to do things that we haven’t done before or we would have imagined we would be able to do in just the past couple of years. The nice thing about that is it expands our market. Just this past year alone we have done work for clients in Louisiana, Tennessee, North Carolina, Florida, Rhode Island, and Pennsylvania. To be able to grow like that is really exciting.
Kevin: Bottom line is if we can make our clients grow and be successful, we can grow and be successful.
