On Thursday, May 28th 2015, Arkansas Graphics, Inc. hosted Oaklawn Racing & Gaming and Visit Hot Springs officials at their downtown Little Rock location for a live printing of their exclusive American Pharoah trading cards.
Oaklawn and Visit Hot Springs officials gathered to watch as the trading cards printed “hot off the press,” a unique experience in a world where digital printing has made the phrase more symbolic.
After winning the Preakness Stakes last Saturday, American Pharoah is eyeing Belmont Stakes and the chance to become the first horse since 1978 to be a Triple Crown winner – the most prestigious honor in horseracing.
In anticipation of this historic run, Visit Hot Springs commissioned 25,000 trading cards from Arkansas Graphics, Inc. that depict American Pharoah and rider, Victor Espinoza, winning the Arkansas Derby at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas. The cards will be part of a series that showcases the link between Hot Springs and notable people, celebrities, and events.
“We’re very excited to be part of such an historic and fun event. We are honored to be able to print such a prestigious project. We’re hoping this card really captures a moment in Arkansas history – when American Pharoah went on from winning the Arkansas Derby to claim the Triple Crown!” says President of Arkansas Graphics, Inc., Kevin Wilcox.

This year’s Belmont Stakes, the 147th running, will take place on the first Saturday in June, the 6th, at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York.
